Your first entry must take place within the period in which the visa must be used. From that first entry date you may enter and exit the country as often as you like for 30 days — plans such as crossing into Oman and back, or attending a meeting in Qatar and returning to Dubai, are possible on this visa.
On a single-entry visa the visa ends the moment you exit; here it does not. Even if you will travel back and forth just twice in the month, this product is both more practical and cheaper overall than buying two separate single-entry visas.
If you are only planning one trip, you do not need this — the 30-Day Single Entry visa is considerably cheaper.

Who Can Apply?
Travellers entering Dubai more than once within a month: regional business travel, exhibition and meeting schedules, and tourist itineraries that use Dubai as a base for short trips to neighbouring countries.
Who Cannot Apply?
Unnecessary if you are planning a single trip — the 30-Day Single Entry visa is considerably cheaper and offers express processing. If your total stay will exceed 30 days, you need the 60-Day Multiple Entry visa. A tourist visa cannot be used for work, study or residency purposes.
Visa Rules
30-day multiple-entry visa: your first entry must take place within 58 days of the visa being issued. From your first entry date you may enter and exit without limit for 30 days. Extensions are not permitted; overstaying incurs a USD 3,000 fine plus USD 150 per day. The visa is valid in all emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain).

There is no limit on the number of entries. You may enter and exit as often as you like for 30 days from your first entry date.
When do the 30 days start — when I receive the visa or on first entry?
On the day of your first entry. The period in which the visa must be used only sets the deadline for that first entry; your 30-day allowance begins with it.
Can I cross into Oman by road and come back?
Yes, this visa is designed exactly for that. However you must separately check the visa rules of the country you are travelling to — a UAE visa does not grant entry there.
