Why Is Travel Health Insurance Mandatory?
The UAE authorities require visitors to be covered against potential health costs; therefore a valid travel health insurance policy is a prerequisite for the visa and entry. Insurance protects you against high treatment costs abroad, and the policy must cover the entirety of your travel dates.

Medical Advice & Assistance
Medical advice via the insurer’s assistance line, plus referrals to doctors, hospitals and pharmacies.
Outpatient/inpatient treatment costs arising from COVID-19 during your trip, and the medication prescribed for it, are also covered within the policy limit (excluding the Americas).
What Is Not Covered?

- Illnesses and conditions existing BEFORE the policy start date (pre-existing)
- Sudden illness for insured persons aged 75 and over
- Skiing and winter sports (no ski cover is provided)
- Hazardous sports and risky activities (safari, diving, climbing, etc.)
- Dental treatment not caused by an accident — decay, fillings, implants
- Conditions arising from alcohol or drug use
- Routine check-ups, screening tests and medical-report applications
- Trips exceeding 92 consecutive days per year; Turkey, Iraq and Afghanistan
